The Idea

The idea revolves around a 5 day week. Each day there is a youtube video, and then there is extra content around it. Photos and stories for instagram, a weekly podcast, a newsletter, facebook (if people still use it)
These are the days so far:
Monday Funday; would be a day of talking about fun uplifting things in the world. Think of Phil DeFranco’s “today in awesome”
Tech Tuesday; a day for camera tech reviews and discussion
Wednesday Comics: I love comics… I need a day for comics
Thursday: TBC something photography related. Need a catchy title though.
Friday Q&A; this may be done through podcast or live stream.
The idea came from watching so many big youtubers and vloggers who would have set days like theses. Now, most of these people may have only had one of these days and the rest were vlogs.
My favorite bit of any of these was when someone sat down and talked a bit more in depth about a topic or question. For example, Casey Neistat was integral in the rise of vlogging during 2015. In his early videos he usually had a key topic to discuss throughout it, or on the days he did Q&A he would pic the last question to dive into more than others.
Hearing peoples thoughts on various topics is not a new trend, it’s something we seek out as humans to better understand ourselves and the world around us. Some would argue that such a vague and diverse idea won’t hold as not everyone is going to love every aspect of it. However, I’ve got to try; and that is what this newsletter is all about.
